Save money and create your own luxurious bath bombs. These bath bombs are so easy to make and you will be an expert in no time. Bath bombs are a safe way to enjoy essential oils in the bath that also benefit your skin and muscles.
When you combine Baking Soda (Bicarb Soda) and citric acid and then put into water they form a chemical reaction that produces carbon dioxide.
Most of the ingredients you will require can be found in your kitchen already, if you need supplies we have got you covered with our DIY Bath Bomb Kit or to purchase ingredients separately, CLICK HERE

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine corn starch, citric acid, epsom salt, baking soda, mica powder (optional), and dried orange peel. Whisk to incorporate completely.
  2. In a small bowl or measuring cup, whisk together coconut oil, essential oil, and water.
  3. Very slowly add the oil mixture to the dry ingredients. Pouring slowly helps make sure the mixture fizzes as little as possible. Mix together until it resembles wet sand and everything in fully incorporated.
  4. Transfer the bath bomb mixture into bath bomb moulds, making sure to press the mixture tightly into each mould half. Overfill a little to ensure that the two pieces stick together when pressed together. Press the mould pieces together and twist until closed.
  5. Allow the bath bombs to dry for at least 24 hours.
  6. To remove the bath bombs from the moulds, tap the outside of the mould gently and twist each side of the mould and pull apart to remove the bath bomb.
  7. Store bath bombs in an airtight container or wrap in plastic wrap.
  8. To use the bath bomb, simply drop it in water and watch it fizz and dissolve.

(Double boiler method– place bowl on a pot of gently simmering water and stir frequently; Microwave method– heat in short bursts on low, stopping and stirring frequently). Remove from heat.

2. Add remaining ingredients and mix until combined.

3. Transfer into container of choice. We recommend using our 100ml Clear glass cream jars or something similar.
